Hooray, it's less than a day before the 2016 Holiday Catalogue is available to everyone.

There are some great Halloween, Christmas, and New Year products available from 1st September, 2016 until 3rd January, 2017.

Happy Birthday - Guy Greetings

Hello again,

Do you have trouble making men's cards?  I struggle with ideas.  It seems I have lots of flowers, trees and lovely stamps for ladies cards, but not much for men.

Last week I used two of my 'go to' stamp sets - Guy Greetings and Gorgeous Grunge to make this birthday card.  Sadly though the markers, black ribbon, Going Places DSP. and the Mossy Meadow card stock are retired.

Birthday Cards - Sitting Here

For the last few weeks, I've been caught up making birthday cards for friends and spending time in Sydney with family.  I've been sick since we arrived home last Saturday, so I haven't had a chance to post much.

Thinking of You - Thoughtful Branches

Hello.

Here's a very quick card using the limited release Thoughtful Branches stamp set.  You may have seen several posts using the framelits that go with this set, but I decided just to use the trees and the lights.

The paper I used for the mat is an off cut of the retired 2015-17 In Colour Envelope Paper in Watermelon Wonder - I don't like to throw useable pieces out.  It's not clear in the picture, but I used the clear Wink of Stella in a circle motion for some 'bling' on the trees.  The sentiment is from the Sheltering Tree stamp set.

Happy Birthday - Pop of Pink DSP

Hello,

Here's a card I made for my granddaughter's birthday recently.

It's the first time I've tried the drapery or curtain fold.  It was a bit confusing initially, but after several attempts with plain paper (yep, I didn't want to waste the DSP) I got the hang of it.  Next time, I think I'll cut the angle a little steeper so I can have more colour.

The sentiment on the front is from the Oh Happy Day Card Kit and inside I used the Mixed Borders stamp set and added some washi tape to the page.  The white-space seemed a bit too white, so I added some stars.  It didn't turn out quite the way I'd like, but it's not too bad.
