June Forgotten Friday

Hello again.  Can you believe it?  It's already the 2nd Friday of the month.  The weeks are flying by.

Today I'm showcasing the Circle Card Thinlits.  I don't know about you, but I bought this thinlit several years ago, after making a card at a class I attended.  I don't think I've ever used it, but I haven't been able to part with it either.

I have to admit, it was pretty easy to use and it was the perfect to use some of my scrap (oops, I mean offcut) Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper.   And for another first.....I didn't CaSE the card.  It was my own idea.  Can you tell?

Some of the products are still current, but the Floral Boutique DSP retired at the end of May 😞.  I really love this DSP.  It's so elegant.  Fortunately I still have some left, but the good news is that the design is available in the 2017-19 In Colours.  See them in my online shop.

Here's my card, followed by the Products I used.

Casing the Catty - In the Meadow

Hello, welcome to my last post for this weekend.

I sat down yesterday to make some cards, and decided to case one from the current Stampin' Up! Catalogue.

I was unsure about keeping this In the Meadow stamp set, but when I saw this card, I decided I still liked it.  I've used this set a lot recently.  It suits many occasions, and can be used for both male and female cards.  I think it was the colours that sold it.

As usual I didn't stamp the sentiment first.  You'd think I'd remember by now, but I love how it turned out.  Somehow I forgot to order the new burlap ribbon when I placed my recent order, so I used Linen Thread with the new Night of Navy Solid Bakers twine.

Fathers' Day - In the Meadow & Going Global

Hello again.

The weekend is nearly over, and I have two more Fathers' Day cards to share with you.

The sentiment on the black card is embossed to make it stand out, as is the compass.  Unfortunately though, Stampin' Up! has retired the Going Global stampset, the Going Places DSP and the black embossing powder, but luckily for me, I still have a container of the powder and plenty of the DSP.

I cased the World's best dad card from Windy Ellard's pin (www.windyellard.blogspot.com), and the Happy Father's Day card from the current catalogue.

The products are sorted by the card so you can easily see what I used.

IN THE MEADOW CARD

Hi again,

I've only had time to make one card today, because I spent so much time with my previous post.  Oh well, at least I finished one.

This time, I used a stampset that has been carried over to the 2016-17 Annual Catalogue.  Once again, I went to Becky's blog for inspiration.  www.scrappinandstampiningj.blogspot.com.  With the exception of the sequins, it's an exact case.  Thanks Becky.
