November Forgotten Friday

Welcome to this month's Forgotten Friday.  Today I have a Sympathy card for you using retired In Colours and some current products.

Several years ago, before I became hooked on all things Stampin' Up!, I purchased a kit from another company's consultant because I liked the embossed look of the card.  The card I have made today uses that card as inspiration.

This card was quick and easy to make, using some offcuts of retired cardstock, embellisments and ribbon.  The sentiment on the front was done on the computer, but I used a Stampin' Up! stamp set for the inside sentiment.

It is one of those cards you can make with any colour.  Here's the details of the current products:

October Forgotten Friday

Welcome to this month's Forgotten Friday post.

Today I have made a card I saw many years ago on Pinterest, using the Little Numbers Thinlits.  These thinlits retired a little while ago, and like all my retired products, I'm still undecided as to whether I should keep it or replace it.  I think I need to take the emotion out of it and see how often I use it.  What makes me laugh is that I think of my wardrobe the same way.  I have so many clothes that I just can't part with. :-)

Back to the card....
I placed the numbers on the piece of Elegant Eggplant I was using as my mat, and ran it through the bigshot.  Then, I placed the number 1 and 3 towards the bottom and ran it through again.

Before mounting the mat, I adhered a small piece of Melon Mambo behind the 13, stamped the Happy Birthday with Versamark, before using White Embossing Powder to finish it.  Some embellishments finished it off.

September Forgotten Friday

Hello and welcome to my September Forgotten Friday post.  It hasn't been easy getting my mojo back after being away, but this week I've managed to make a couple of cards to use up some old Designer Series Paper.

I saw this in pinterest some time ago, but didn't ever get around to making it.  My apologies, but I don't have the creators details - sorry if you know who it was.  I wasn't thinking straight when I cut the base and because the DSP was an off-cut I had to cut the base down to make a 4" x 4" card....oops not my usual size.

I didn't have any Rich Razzleberry ink, so I used the retired Blackberry Bliss stamped off for the sentiment.  I think it's close enough.  The embellishments are not from Stampin' Up! and I've been hoarding them too.

July Forgotten Friday

Welcome to July's Forgotten Friday.  This month I'm showcasing the recently retired Starburst Sayings stamp set and Starburst Framelits.

While I didn't use it often I liked the set and am deciding whether to keep it 😕

For a change I used Tangerine Tango, with Early Espresso and Sahara Sand then took myself out of my comfort zone and angled the layers.  That's so hard for someone who likes everything straight and even distances 😊
The numbers are also from a retired set called Memorable Moments with Gorgeous Grunge to add some dimension.   The dots on the Sahara Sand mat were added using a sponge dauber.

May Forgotten Friday

Hello,

Today I have two frames made using some retired butterflies.

I started by stamping the Swallowtail on some Whisper White card stock, then, using my Big Shot, embossed it with the Brick Wall embossing folder (It's a bit hard to see though).  I then added some smaller butterflies to reduce some of the white space, and a few embellishments and Wink of Stella for the finishing touches.
