Sympathy Card - Oh So Eclectic

Hello again.  There's a saying that deaths some in threes.  Well that happened to me between July and mid August.
Here are some cards I cased from Kathy Daisey's pin to send to some of our friends, when we arrived home from holidays earlier this month.

Thinking of You - Floral Phrases

Hello,

I'm just about to go on holidays, but sadly had the need to make a sympathy card today.

I wanted something a little different, so decided to use the Floral Phrases stamp set and co-ordinating Detailed Floral Thinlits, which is very popular at the moment.  There are lots of ideas shown in the current Stampin' Up! catalogue and on pinterest using this set and Night of Navy cardstock, but I decided to try Emerald Envy.

I love this card.  I'm sure the person I'm sending the card to will think so too.

I added a couple of rhinestones and stamped the flower at the top of the inside to finish it off.  I like the 'thinking of you' sentiment from the Sheltering Tree stampset and thought it was appropriate for this card.

You'll need these items if you'd like to make this card yourself

While the Big Shot Die Brush and Precision Base Plate are not mandatory, they do make the task of using the Detailed Floral Thinlit Die much easier.

If you are interested in purchasing these or any other items, head over to my shop or email me.  I'll be glad to help you.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you come back again.

Robyn

Sympathy Cards - Love and Sympathy

Happy Valentine's Day everyone.

Where has the week gone?

I said last Sunday I'd let you know what happened.  Well, in the middle of my card making our neighbour visited to tell us "We (the royal we), had a problem.

That problem turned out to be a snake!  Fortunately for us it was on his side of the fence by the time we got to it, and only a baby green tree snake.  Yuk.

After I composed myself and we found someone to come and get it, it was back to making my cards.
Naturally, my mind wasn't on the task, but I managed to finish some Sympathy cards.  We all know the saying - deaths come in threes.  I'd already been told about 3, so I made six.

I didn't re-ink the stamp before stamping the 2nd and 3rd time.  I really like this effect and use it frequently.

I used some retired stock - 2013-15 In Colours (Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe & Pistachio Pudding), as well as current stock.

Don't forget that I can help you with any Stampin' Up! products you might need (or want). Just send me an email or use the Contact form.

Have a good week.
