Happy Birthday - Guy Greetings

Hello again,

Do you have trouble making men's cards?  I struggle with ideas.  It seems I have lots of flowers, trees and lovely stamps for ladies cards, but not much for men.

Last week I used two of my 'go to' stamp sets - Guy Greetings and Gorgeous Grunge to make this birthday card.  Sadly though the markers, black ribbon, Going Places DSP. and the Mossy Meadow card stock are retired.

Last week, while I was waiting for my new goodies to arrive, I made a card with one of my favourite men's stamp sets - Guy Greetings.  I CaSEd this card from Becky, who's blog is one of my favourites - scrappinandstampiningj.blogspot.com   I used some of the retired Going Places Designer Series Paper for the mat and the reverse for the little flags.

70th BIRTHDAY - PICTURE PERFECT

Hi,

It's been a while since I've updated my blog, sorry.  I have several friends having '0' birthdays this year so I've been making different cards for them.

Here's one I made for a 70th.

I used the envelope punch board to punch out the corner, and aqua painters for the background prior to stamping the coral and starfish. The sentiments inside were from the Age Awareness and Guy Greetings stampsets.  The sequin was leftover from cards I made from the Watercolor Wishes kit.
