BIRTHDAY CARD - GRATEFUL BUNCH

Today I have a birthday card made for my daughter-in-law with stamps selected by my granddaughter when she visited at the end of June.  The inspiration for the card came from Connie Collins' (www.constantlystaming.com) pin using Reason for the Season.

The background has been stamped with Crumb Cake on Very Vanilla to give the wooden effect.  I stamped the leaves directly onto the card and the flowers on Flirty Flamingo (one of the 2016-2018 In Colours), then used the Blossom Bunch punch to punch them out.

BIRTHDAY CARD - BY THE TIDE

Hello.

My eldest grandson celebrated his birthday yesterday, so I can now share the card I made for him.

He loves fishing when he visits, so it was appropriate for me to use the By the Tide stamp set, even though it recently retired.  I cased this card from pinterest-Chat Wszelaki (www.memystampsandi.blogspot.com). I don't have a circle punch, so used retired framelits and fussy cut the fish, and mounted it.

MALE BIRTHDAY CARD - BEAUTIFUL RIDE

Hello again.

I recently made a birthday card for a 17 year old who likes surfing, using the Beautiful Ride stamp set I borrowed.  I decided not to buy this set before it retired, but boy that was a mistake!  I liked it so much I just had to get my hands on one.

I'm happy with the card which was inspired by a couple of pins on Pinterest.  Thanks Linda Greater (www.lgreater.com) and Splitcoaststampers (www.splitcoaststampers.com) for your pins.
I used aquapainters for the ocean and improvised by using the backing of a stamp for the cloud.

I've just realised that this photo was taken before I changed the embellishment on the back wheel.  Oh well too late now. :-)  The black embellishments are not from Stampin' Up! and the Back to Basics Alphabet is retired.

BIRTHDAY CARD - SHELTERING TREE

Welcome to my second post today.

My friend celebrated her birthday last week, so I can now share the card I made for her.  I normally make standard cards, but opted for an easel card this time, which I cased from Lisa Fleming - www.peanutsandpepperspapercrafting.com

I haven't used the Sheltering Tree stamp set lately, despite it being one of my favourites, especially the friendship sentiment.  My friend loves purple, so naturally, Elegant Eggplant was my choice of colours.  I stamped the leaves several times, moving the stamp each time without re-inking.  It's difficult to see, from the photo, but I also "flicked" the clear Wink of Stella to add some shine to the tree.
