HAPPY BIRTHDAY - BABY BEAR

Happy Monday.

I had another productive day last Sunday -  I made my granddaughter's 1st Communion card.  Her communion isn't for another 2 weeks, so I will post it after 19/6/16.  I have started my husband's 70th birthday card, but his birthday isn't until the end of June, so I have some time to finish it.

I finally finished the Baby Bear card I started in May.  I think the card could be smaller.  It's ok for my first attempt.  I've seen so many designs on Pinterest, but this was my own creation.

OH HAPPY DAY CARD KIT

Hello,

Today has been a very wet and windy day, so I decided to clean my craft room.  I found a few cards that hadn't been completed so spent some time finishing them.  I also made 6 cards that I had left over from my workshop at the Retirement Village on Wednesday.  I usually feel guilty when I spend so long crafting, but not today.

Here are the finished cards from the Oh Happy Day kit.  They are easy to make and can have additional embellishments added if you desire.  I added some Wink of Stella to one card, rhinestones (now retired) to another, gold metallic twine and an enamel dot (also retired) to another.  I made mistakes on two, so improvised to fix them. One sentiment comes from Watercolour Wings stamp set.

The kit is great for those new to crafting, or those wanting simple cards that can be put together quickly.  The kit, which will be available from 14th June, comes with everything required to make 20 cards.  If you are interested in purchasing the kit, you can email me prior to the date.

IN THE MEADOW CARD

Hi again,

I've only had time to make one card today, because I spent so much time with my previous post.  Oh well, at least I finished one.

FLOWER PATCH & TYPESET SPECIALITY DSP CARDS

Hi,

Was my last post really 19th May?  Where have the days gone?

Yesterday I stopped procrastinating when I found some great designs on Pinterest.  It seems that I spend all my time looking, rather than creating.  I've been following Becky (I think) who posts as Stampin' & Scrappin' in GJ (http://scrappinandstampiningj.blogspot.com) for some time now.  I just love her creations.

So, today I combined some retiring products with some new ones which will be available to all on 1st June.   Not long to wait now!  They didn't take long to make.  Some Very Vanilla cardstock, DSP, flowers and a sentiment.  I used three of the 2016-18 In Colours - Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum for the flowers and Emerald Envy for some of the leaves. It's not clear from the photo, but I added some Wink of Stella to the flowers for that extra 'bling'.  What did we do without Wink of Stella?  The Little Leaves die retired a while ago, but I still get some use from it.

Here's the finished cards I cased from Becky's recent post.

I'm sure the ladies at a local Retirement Village will love them when I show them next Wednesday.

THANK YOU - ONE BIG MEANING

Hello.

Here's a Thank You card based on a card I saw in Pinterest by Brian King (www.stampwithbrian.com).

Instead of using Corrugated Paper, I scored some Bermuda Bay and Smoky Slate cardstock.  The Thank You is embossed in black.  I forgot to use the embossing buddy, so you might see some traces of embossing powder around the sentiment.  The circles were cut using the Circles Collection Framelits, which are retiring.  Watch out from 1st June for something similar which I'm sure you'll love.

This design is great because it suits any sentiment. It can be used for a masculine card as I have done, but can easily be changed to be a little more feminine.  I'm sure it will look great in the 2016-18 In Colours too.
