IN THE MEADOW CARD

Hi again,

I've only had time to make one card today, because I spent so much time with my previous post.  Oh well, at least I finished one.

This time, I used a stampset that has been carried over to the 2016-17 Annual Catalogue.  Once again, I went to Becky's blog for inspiration.  www.scrappinandstampiningj.blogspot.com.  With the exception of the sequins, it's an exact case.  Thanks Becky.

FLOWER PATCH & TYPESET SPECIALITY DSP CARDS

Hi,

Was my last post really 19th May?  Where have the days gone?

Yesterday I stopped procrastinating when I found some great designs on Pinterest.  It seems that I spend all my time looking, rather than creating.  I've been following Becky (I think) who posts as Stampin' & Scrappin' in GJ (http://scrappinandstampiningj.blogspot.com) for some time now.  I just love her creations.

So, today I combined some retiring products with some new ones which will be available to all on 1st June.   Not long to wait now!  They didn't take long to make.  Some Very Vanilla cardstock, DSP, flowers and a sentiment.  I used three of the 2016-18 In Colours - Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum for the flowers and Emerald Envy for some of the leaves. It's not clear from the photo, but I added some Wink of Stella to the flowers for that extra 'bling'.  What did we do without Wink of Stella?  The Little Leaves die retired a while ago, but I still get some use from it.

I'm sure the ladies at a local Retirement Village will love them when I show them next Wednesday.

THANK YOU - ONE BIG MEANING

Hello.

Here's a Thank You card based on a card I saw in Pinterest by Brian King (www.stampwithbrian.com).

Instead of using Corrugated Paper, I scored some Bermuda Bay and Smoky Slate cardstock.  The Thank You is embossed in black.  I forgot to use the embossing buddy, so you might see some traces of embossing powder around the sentiment.  The circles were cut using the Circles Collection Framelits, which are retiring.  Watch out from 1st June for something similar which I'm sure you'll love.

This design is great because it suits any sentiment. It can be used for a masculine card as I have done, but can easily be changed to be a little more feminine.  I'm sure it will look great in the 2016-18 In Colours too.

MALE BIRTHDAY CARD

Hello.

Are you in need of a Male Birthday card, without the usual trees or planes?  Or are you looking for inspiration to make one?  This might be the one you're looking for.

It was super easy to make.  Just a few score lines, add some brads, ribbon and sentiment (I embossed mine) and there it is.  It's a card that will suit many occasions or colours.  It's not my idea though.  I cased it from Julie Buhler (http://paperpleasing.typepad.com).

Note: A couple of the items I used are retiring or will be retiring at the end of May.

FLOWER PATCH NOTECARDS

Hello.

What better way to showcase the 2016-18 In Colours than by making 5 notecards with complimentary colours and one of my old favourite stamp sets?   Jo Ann Usey's pin reminded me that it's been ages since I've used Flower Patch.  I knew it would be perfect to use for the colours. The 'Just a Note' sentiment is part of the Picture Perfect stamp set which has carried over into the new catalogue.

The colours from left to right are Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, Sweet Sugarplum.   Aren't they great names?  The colours will be available in cardstock, Designer Series Paper, inks, markers, and lovely ruched ribbon from 1st June.  Not long to wait.  I'm partial to blue, so Dapper Denim will probably be one of my frequently used colours, closely followed by Flirty Flamingo.
