28 February 2016

Hello again.  Well Sunday is almost gone. I hope you've enjoyed your weekend. I've spent so much time today fiddling with my blog, which I thought it would be easy...yeah right!  Please bear with me while I continue to make some changes.

I'm about to cut out the pieces for an exploding box I'm making for a card class later this week. It will have an Easter theme, so pop back next weekend to see it.

Have a good week.

Birthday Card - Sky is the Limit

Hi again,

I made this birthday card for my nephew with the recently finished Sale-A-Bration stampset free product 'Sky is the Limit'.  I love the plane and will use it often I think.

I CaSEd the card from Candice Fields
but added some Bohemian DSP for more colour.  I thought the circle for the sentiment was a bit too white, so I added some Soft Sky and Delightful Dijon with a dauber.

I made another card using Gorgeous Grunge and Four Feathers with Watermelon Wonder & Cucumber Crush inks, but would you believe I forgot to take a photo before giving it to my sister to mail?  LOL!  The idea came from Tracy May - www.bedlamandbutterflies.co.uk who I follow on pinterest.

Remember, Sale-A-Bration is continuing until March 31st, and there have been some great new products added, so why not take a minute to have a look. Just click on the links on the side bar.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Birthday Card - Grandson

Happy hump day everyone.

In between all the other things I've had on this week, I've managed to make some cards for my nephew's birthday.

Here's a card made for my mother to give my nephew.  The 'grandson' I used is from Stampin' Up!s retired 'Wonderful Favorites' stamp set.  Sorry, but the yacht is not from Stampin' Up!

I'll be adding the other one soon.  Don't forget to come back to see it.

Sympathy Cards - Love and Sympathy

Happy Valentine's Day everyone.

Where has the week gone?

I said last Sunday I'd let you know what happened.  Well, in the middle of my card making our neighbour visited to tell us "We (the royal we), had a problem.

That problem turned out to be a snake!  Fortunately for us it was on his side of the fence by the time we got to it, and only a baby green tree snake.  Yuk.

After I composed myself and we found someone to come and get it, it was back to making my cards.
Naturally, my mind wasn't on the task, but I managed to finish some Sympathy cards.  We all know the saying - deaths come in threes.  I'd already been told about 3, so I made six.

I didn't re-ink the stamp before stamping the 2nd and 3rd time.  I really like this effect and use it frequently.

I used some retired stock - 2013-15 In Colours (Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe & Pistachio Pudding), as well as current stock.

Don't forget that I can help you with any Stampin' Up! products you might need (or want). Just send me an email or use the Contact form.

Have a good week.

Male 70th Birthday Card - Gorgeous Grunge

Hello again,

Hope you all had a good weekend.  Mine was busy, creating a few cards, including this birthday card for a friend's 70th.  I had a few interruptions to my stamping...something I'll update in my next post.

It was made with one of my favourite stamp sets - Gorgeous Grunge and colours I don't normally use.  I used the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Guy Greetings stamp set, Washi Tape from the Watercolor Wishes Card Kit and also stamped the blotches on the inside.

Don't forget to come back to see what happened over the weekend. Enjoy your crafting.

Happy Birthday Card - Balloon Celebrations

Welcome to my 2nd post.

I've only remembered a friend is celebrating her birthday this Friday, so I whipped up this card using a stamp set from the Occasions catalogue - Balloon Celebrations.

When it was finished, I thought there was too much white-space, so I added a piece of discontinued 1/8" Taffeta Melon Mambo ribbon I have in my stash.

See you again soon.
